I just got word yesterday that I've been hired for a new job- and this could be the one I've been looking for. Of course, I say that about all jobs, but this one is pretty promising- Senior Software Developer at Mindbody Online. They are #59 on Inc. 5000's fastest growing companies, for one thing. For another, it's performance based incentives, full bennies, lots of time off; all good stuff that it's been a long time, if ever, since I've had.

What a whirlwind, though! The speed this developed is amazing. On Thursday, I sent in a resume and cover letter- I didn't even know if they were hiring, let alone for what!- because my wife had gotten the card of the CTO, who eats at her restaurant. I had put it off for over a week. By Friday, they had set up an interview for Monday. Wow. Then, at the interview, the first thing they mentioned is that competition was stiff, and that it would be while- they had a lot more applicants to interview. By the end of the interview, I was hired. Yeah, I'm feeling pretty good about that!

In the end, this means I can still get married in October, and I should be able to afford a lot more investment (of money, not time) into CWS Software.
