Progress
Just a quick update, things are actually going very well right now. With Rugby season falling apart on me, I've been in the office, along with Jerry and Shanahan, and those two are making good progress. Datesim is shaping up nicely, with Shanahan starting to get his head wrapped around the engine- we managed to get the revamped character system in the engine working last night. The tech demo he put together is working well, revealing stuff we need to fix, but overall it's working well. Jerry is working on Mini-Piggy, gaining valuable experience. From what I've heard, Series of Tubes is kicking butt, I saw it a little bit when I compiled it for the Mac. Still need to get them an SVN->Download link going, it's a bit of scripting on the webserver I haven't had time to do. Ask Shanahan or Jerry, normal work has been a beast lately.
In other good news, project codename: Odd Jobs has me pretty reinvigorated. Both Chris Lee and I have purchased Binary licences for Torque 3D to begin playing with it- it's really not that intimidating to us veterans, which is good. However, that's still in the negotiating phase, so I've been trying to focus actually dev time on Datesim. Going to need to call in a favor and get some web design done. If anybody has an idea for what they would like the Theme to look like for datesim, PLEASE POST LINKS. Just sites you like, or things you think work well, etc. The basic layout of the site is established- fixed width, three columns, etc, with hearts and valentines as the major theme; but my buddy will need something else to go from. Please, if you have ideas, let me know, and post a reply!
